Hello everyone!
In this climate of pandemic we are all getting used to living in it can be easy to get frustrated by things being out of our control. I want you all to know that, though that may be true of us, the same cannot be said of our God.
For Those of You Who Fear
It cannot be easy to read those words if you have lost a loved one to this pandemic because you can begin to wonder why this happened.
I do not know and do not claim to have all the answers.
All that I do know is that every time I read my Bible I see accounts of a God who is faithful.
Just.
Merciful.
Long-suffering.
The loss might seem great right now, but know this... the end has not yet come!
There is still more life left to live.
When I lost my uncle at the end of 2019 I started asking myself what he would say if he could see me suffering. I imagined him telling me not to give up living my life just because his race is over.
Neither is yours.
It's Not Over Yet
Your race is not over yet. Don't fear and don't let negativity tell you that this is the end for us all.
Mankind is stronger than that.
Mankind was built for more than this.
The Name of Jesus is stronger than any disease and though it has claimed countless lives in this one, that has not been the end for any of them.
They have passed from life to death.
They have won the race of life and made it to the other side.
So though it's going to be difficult moving forward, you simply have to because otherwise you are robbing yourself of a future that is so much better than the present you have right now. The present might be a gift, but the present prepares you for your purpose of tomorrow.
Life is a training ground for eternity!
The choices we make today, from this point on (where we are tempted to be overcome by fear, worry, anxiety and anything else that robs us of our passion) will live with us for the rest of our days so I would be thinking about making decisions to craft the foundations for the future that my future self will be thankful for.
It's not going to be easy. No one said it would.
But it is necessary that we don't let our losses and fears in this pandemic shape us into becoming a shadow of our true potential in this life.
I know in Whom I have believed and I am convinced that He who began a good work in me will be faithful and carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6).
Final Thought
There are plenty of reasons in this life to be afraid, but as you know by now my mandate on The Write Dimension, when I get talking about faith is to cause you (hopefully!) to reconsider whether fear really is the right way forward or whether there really is another way.
Until next time!
