BSB:Thruxton - Shakey the Record Breaker!

What an entertaining couple of races that was!

To see Shane 'Shakey' Byrne in with a shout at becoming the most successful British Superbike rider in history was something I thought was inevitable, given his tenacity to run into the face of danger (come on, bro's, on two wheels cornering at a ridiculous lean angle is not dangerous?!).

Needless to say I was fully confident that he could eclipse the target of 43 race wins going in just one shy and it didn't take him long to put forth his case...

MotoGP:Circuit of the Americas - The Marc of a True Champion

Well that certainly was an enjoyable 21 laps!

Having just finished watching yesterday's MotoGP from Texas, I figured it time I sit down and get the review out of the way, as the sooner I do that, the sooner I can get onto the next item on the agenda.

This was the first time that the MotoGP guys had taken to the tarmac of this newly designed circuit and after the rather successful F1 outing of last year, I wondered how it would be in terms of entertainment for the bro's on 2 wheels as opposed to 4...

F1: Bahrain - Better Than Paul Di Resta?

Whassup bro's!

It's that time of the weekend again, where I review an event on the motorsport calendar and, just like last weekend, it's the turn of the Formula 1 bro's!

This week, they were in Bahrain for a Grand Prix that usually springs some surprises and is quite an interesting track to view, with Seb Vettel hoping to making it two in two victories, as last year he took the flag ahead of Kimi Raikonnen & Romain Grosjean...

A Leaky Situation - Resolving Matters

Well bro's!

I wondered how long it would take to resolve a leaky roof (from an earlier post dated 23rd March, you'll know my ceiling was leaking) and it appears I now have my answer... 26 days!

Now, make of that what you will (I for one take a far more pacifist's approach to all of this, because I've already told you I choose my battles carefully!) but either way the builders have done a bang-up job so far...

F1:China - A Day to Remember for Alonso

Whassup bro's!

This weekend's F1 certainly was an eventful race with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso eventually taking the flag after a more than comfortable final stint that again saw strategies make and break drivers' chances.

Today was also a day that saw Mark Webber's weekend go from bad to worse as, after getting disqualified from Qualifying 3, an error with the rear right wheel after his pit-stop (when asked on the radio Mark said there was something up with said wheel, psychic much?!:S) resulted in him having to peel off, just as the wheel came off, ran across the track (and some have already said what an ironic twist of fate it would have been if it had damaged Seb Vettel's car, given their history!) and fortunately out of harm's way.

Upon seeing Lewis Hamilton take pole position in qualifying I thought this was an excellent marker for Mercedes to lay down having risen to the top of the pile by only the third race. Race day however, proves to be a slightly different affair as though they do have pace, they are not quite at the stage of say Ferrari or RBR just yet in terms of consistent race speed, but they're getting there...

'The Amazing Spiderman' is Just That... AMAZING!!!

Hey bro's!

Seeing as a review is looong overdue (when I'm not talking bikes or cars, that is!), I figured it time I got my reviewing head on and pick what I'm looking at next. It was a toss-up between Uncharted 3 and the latest Spiderman film titled "The Amazing Spiderman". Turns out there is no contest really and this is the standard Blu-ray release I'm reviewing.

I wanted to give this review out on Monday, having watched the film with Andrew Garfield then, but seeing that BSB was on the following night, I figured I'd get that review out of the way before starting on this one.

What can I say, except, what... a... film!

British Superbikes: Brands Hatch Indy - Shake & Bake!

Last week saw the launch of the 2013 British Superbike Championship and, being an avid follower of this for the past few years now, I figured it time I get my proverbial helmet on and digest what happened in the season opener at the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit.

Being an avid fan of current world champion Shane 'Shakey' Byrne, I thought this would be a test to see if he could start as he finished last season...

MotoGP: Qatar - Business as Usual For Lorenzo

It's that time again, folks!

The new MotoGP season kicked off in Doha, Qatar (boy, how I'd like to go there when my aforementioned mission comes to fruition!) yesterday with much focused on changed line-ups and improved machinery. This 5km+ circuit with its six lefthanders and ten right, has been an enjoyable one for me to watch during my few years of tuning into MotoGP on the BBC and I for one was looking forward to seeing how my favourite Brit, Cal Crutchlow, got on in his bid to continue his impressive end to the 2012 season...

The World's Hardest WHAT?!

Well, it's posteroo time again, bro's!

Yep, I did just make up a word right then and there, so get used to it 'cos it might just happen again, lol!

Anyways, before I go on to what I'm looking at today, have a gander at this video... The World's Hardest Game, or how to play it and rage at the same time!

It's one of my favourite channels, as I'm sure fellow Rooster Teeth fans will know by now that they like to give Michael the hardest games for him to rage over and boy does he!

I've seen enough of this game this past week to consider that I'm gonna try my hand at playing it...

Welfare Cuts - Right to the Bone

Whassup, bro's!

It's that time again, where I pick something to get on my soapbox over and this time it's these bloomin' welfare cuts that we knew were coming, but some buried heads in sand until they were upon us.

First, let me set the record straight, as a claimer of Jobseeker's Allowance I can see where this government are coming from as there is definitely a 'benefits culture' out there and I can understand why people such as Iain Duncan Smith (when he doesn't spout drivel like this, he's one of the few I respect) want to make sure it 'pays to work' because that's the way it should be, right? People should make more money when they're actually working rather than sat around on their lard ar$es doing jack all to find work...
