F1:Monaco - No More Drama? Ha, Yeah Right!

So, this weekend's race in the province of Monaco was one of first's as not only did we see the first safety car period of the year, but also we saw after several attempts this season, Nico Rosberg managing to lock out the front position of the grid to give Mercedes their maiden win of the 2013 season...

Still Chugging Away...

Hey bro's!

First of all I'm well aware that things have been a little slack on here for a few days now, and that I haven't posted anything since the MotoGP last weekend.

Basically, I've got some stuff going on in my life at the moment that's pulling me away from writing on this blog as regularly as I have been.

Keep checking back over this next week as I will endeavour to resume normal service folks, I assure you!

Peace out!

MotoGP:France - Dani the Man & Cal the CALculator!

That was certainly an exhilerating race today!

Watching the way Cal Crutchlow's bike slammed him into the tarmac in free practice four, almost high-siding him only to SLAM him down, had me hoping that he'd be well enough to race today as he's a proper character when interviewed by the BBC, lol!

It sounded like he came through it with some very worrying symptoms at first, so to see him get taken back to the garage on the back of the medical scooter was a relief, I'll tell you that much and then he goes and gets on a bicycle (a freakin' bike bro's!) and cycles to the medical centre for his checkup... THAT is dedication to your sport!

I think it'll be pretty obvious who I've tipped for rider of the day then...

Wigan Relegated! :( :( :(

Well...

It has to be said that today is a day for commiserations as last night, Wigan Athletic's relegation was confirmed from the Premier League!

Unlike other narrow-minded footy fans, I look past my team's boundaries and as such share an affection for a handful of teams deemed worthy of my tracking and Wigan are just such a team...

BSB: Oulton Park - "Shakey" Shakey & "Awesome" Alex!

Well, I must say that I did not see that coming!

Having finally watched the British Superbike Championship race from Oulton Park in Cheshire that took place over the recent bank holiday weekend, I can now comment on this and review the action accordingly...

F1: Spain - Fernando the Man!

So, the 2013 Formula 1 season depicts its second double-winner in Fernando Alonso!

This race, unsurprisingly had question marks over whether Mercedes could continue their excellent qualifying form having already taken pole position in three of the five races so far this year.

However, once again the race-pace proved to be their undoing as yet again the operating temperatures required to keep the rear tyres under control were seemingly much harder to control for those guys than it was for the majority of the other teams...

Brotherhood 2013 Pt Three - As For Me & My House

Okay, so here's the final part of my Brotherhood 2013 experience at Audacious Church!

The afternoon, after the segment I've detailed in the previous post involving a group of the women from Audacious Church enlightening us bro's 'what a woman wants', was what they called the 'Wild One' because literally anything could happen as prayers were brought, songs were sung and the Spirit of God moved in such a mighty, mighty way that afternoon!

It allowed me a perfect chance to relate to myself what exactly I was fighting for in this relationship-that-is-not-yet-one experience I'm currently going through and a spark flew up in my mind that reminded me that I was doing this precisely to prevent an experience later on down the line if we were to meet again, me & my lady friend (whoever & wherever she is, bro's!), and wish we'd have gotten together sooner (this song expresses it perfectly!) only for now to be too late as too much has happened and too much time passed. You know the feeling, you meet, don't get together so drift apart and then some years down the line you bump into each other only now one or both of you are in a relationship so there's no WAY the two of you could get together now.

The evening itself was supposed to have been another message from Ps. Neil Smith...

Brotherhood 2013 Pt Two - Talking Like An Ass & What a Girl Wants But Might Not Get

Okay so part one of the review of this year's Brotherhood Conference at Audacious Church has been concluded so here's part two!

The next point I want to look at is, again, a point that Ps. Neil Smith made regarding the story of Balaam and the talking donkey (go on, read Numbers chapter 22... I dare ya!).

See? I told you there was a talking donkey, HA!

He made the point that sometimes on your journey you might think that stalling tactics are the Enemy's tactics as he tries to stop you from achieving all that you are called to be...

Brotherhood 2013 Pt One - Breaking Boundaries and Smashing Strongholds

Wow!

That is all I can say having finally got back to my place after a whole day spent in the company of some truly inspirational people at Audacious Church in Manchester as part of their annual Brotherhood conference!

I've posted my prior thoughts of this particular church before, but this time I wanted to take a few moments to unpack what occurred for me in a massive, massive weekend of breakthrough culminating in the desecration of ground I once trod as a man of God.

Now, words like that can conjure up a whole manner of imagery for people whatever their background or upbringing... that's not the point as this is my time to rise!

MotoGP: Sold Out By the BBC...

Whassup bro's!

Upon hearing the unsurprising news that, once again, the BBC has lost out on full live coverage of a major sporting series of events I am left with a distinct sense of deja vu!

F1 anyone? Golf anyone? Haven't got the balls to pay the premium to keep a sport for once, anyone? Nah, of course it's all about cost-cutting wherever they can... recession dontcha know?! PAH! Sucks to be you!

Ha, it's at that stage now where it's a surprise when they do keep hold of a sport! I predicted this once F1 went and now it's happened I shall be activating my predictor again...

Fergie - Retirement of a Legend

Whassup bro's!

Well, this comes as an impromptu entry on my blog here having got back earlier today from my second appointment on this 'Work Training' programme that my local jobcentre have sent me on.

I checked the BBC Red Button service as I'm often wont to do in a morning over a cup of coffee and whatever choice of breakfast (for those interested it was a round of toast with my coffee today!) and came across this stunning news that left me reeling as for twenty-odd years I've gotten used to the banter between our two sides' (for those who've forgotten, or don't know I proudly support the red side of North London, so you know who that is!) fans...

MotoGP:Spain - Ped-al to the Metal

Well, that certainly was an entertaining 27 laps of one of my all-time favourite MotoGP circuits; Jerez in Spain where Dani Pedrosa took an impressive victory and some might say, as the song goes, that this is his charge to the championship igniting well and truly now!

Seeing the tussle between the bro's from the sharp to the blunt end of the grid, gave me a distinct reminder why I enjoy this championship so much. Now, a lot of people are going to be focusing on that incident with Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo on the final corner of the final lap as the latter was outmuscled by the former to the second step on the podium...

What A Night - Church the RIGHT Way!

Whassup bro's!

It's been a few days since my last post and because of this, and because of what happened last night at church I thought I'd post my thoughts on here for you all to make sense of!

Now of course I've mentioned that 'dreaded' word to some but remember, it's only a word and the problem you've got is the meaning that has been attached to it over the years (and not a lot of it good I will add from the "Church's" in-fighting & scandals of which I am not of their denomination as I've already covered!).

Let me tell you a little bit about one church in particular, Audacious Church in Manchester...

A Right Bavarian Bashin'!

7-0???

Well, I would say I cannot believe my eyes nor my ears, but seeing as the truth was inevitably written last Tuesday when Bayern Munchen systematically took apart Barcelona imo.

To see these two giants of football lock horns had promised to be a mouth-watering tie for those of us neutrals having witnessed our own teams' demise in the Champions' League (though I'll admit that being beaten over two legs by tonight's victors was certainly an entertaining fair, especially as we inflicted on them a rare defeat!)...
