Right, let's get back to the action and the Rider of the Day award...
So then, Lorenzo brought it home for the race win and his first since Silverstone, with Marquez and Pedrosa following him over the line, whilst Rossi, Bradl & Crutchlow would bring home the second row of the grid.
Special mention at this point goes out to Colin Edwards, the NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team rider actually managed to win the CRT battle this time out so he made the most of Espargaro's earlier mishap. Though with his brother Pol winning in the sister race, it was clear that for one side of the Espargaro family, they would be going home happy at least. Plus, it was nice to see Aleix sharing his emotion on his face as his brother collapsed to his knees having won the Moto2 race earlier.
Who's the Rider of the Day then?
Easy and by a country mile at that for it was: -
JORGE LORENZO
Though I would have wanted to go for Colin Edwards, for looking as jubilant post-race as he did during the race to lead home the CRT boys, it cannot be undermined just how impressive Lorenzo's bike was out there!
I do feel that the title is not yet over for Lorenzo, even if he is now just over a race win's distance from Marquez (and tied with Pedrosa at this point, leading only on race wins!), because there are still another five races left to go. So you can bet your sweet candy a$$ that there'll be more twists and turns than a helter skelter and it's anyone's guess who might come out on top.
I'm not willing to write off Lorenzo yet as I feel you'd me mad to, but as the guys (BBC comm's Steve Parrish & Charlie Cox) quite rightly said "He (Lorenzo) could win all five races and if Marquez finishes them all second it's still not enough, he needs outside help now to push him further back"... so let's see who'll step up to provide that help then!
Until next time in Aragon, bro's!
Peace out!
