Joining The Fiber Optic Revolution II - Supercharged & Super-Fast!

Oh my goodness, why haven't I done this sooner???

I know you're probably laughing right now as I write this because the Virgin Media guy came just over a week ago to fit my broadband and landline and I'm pushing the internet through it's paces!

WHY IN THE HELL DID I PUT UP WITH SUCH SLOW SPEEDS???

For six years, six bloody years I put up with 7Mb/s thinking it fast whilst all around me the world was changing and becoming superfast with regards to internet speeds. Yet there I was lagging behind, my only experience of internet came at a time when magazines were giving ISP software away on CD.

I know that might seem like an exaggeration but you have to bear in mind that mobile dongle for broadband is the only thing I've known for the past six years!

Six years of hearing "donk" every time the connection fell over, which was getting worse and worse as time went on and I kid you not, got tiring and grated on me unbelievably. I could be in the middle of composing an email, surfing the internet or on YouTube and the moment that "donk" sound occurred, I knew it was game over.

I would have to wait until the device lost connection with my laptop, hear the "ba-dum" of it picking up a device attached, force the software to close (sometimes it would do it unwillingly), re-open it... already you're getting an idea what a ball ache that would turn out to be!

Now I can finally download as much as I want, whenever I want and all without not daring to move for fear of "donk" ruining my qi!

THE JOYS OF PS3 GAMING

Also, being able to get back online with the likes of PSN and online gaming from the likes of Assassin's Creed III: -

And, more recently, Defiance: -

They have proven to me that this was something that I should have done before now, waaay before now.

It reminds me of a little story the last time I was online... I got to play Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and received a very heart-warming boost to my ego at the time as practically every time I'd finished on that game, I was being invited to play it again and again.

Why heart-warming, you might ask? Simply because I thought I was an okay or an average player as I wasn't using a headset at the time, so could never actually communicate my thoughts whilst playing. But when you're getting bombarded with requests like I was, you start to realise that maybe, just maybe, there is more to you than meets the eye!

Anyways, that's enough for now, given that with a defunct laptop (again!) has resulted in delayed postings (including my next series of encouraging posts), rest assured that my plans for world domination are continuing.

Why?

Well, every day I get closer and closer to the day where I can start vlogging with my Sony Bloggie (here's a review someone's done on YouTube for it) camcorder I've recently acquired from Cash Converters.

Right here on this blog I'll be ushering TWD v2.0 as it launches complete with video reviews and other such wonders I create!

Peace out!
