Off the Scale #24 - Recuerdos De La Alhambra by Francisco Tárrega

Hello everyone!

Thank you for sticking with my classical music series "Off the Scale", it means a lot to me to consider that I am helping to grow people's interest in classical music every single day. Simply by doing my bit for the genre.

Today we are going to look at one of my favourite pieces of classical guitar music; Francisco Tárrega's "Memories of Alhambra", otherwise known as Recuerdos De La Alhambra...

Recuerdos De La Alhambra

This particular piece of music I first heard quite a few years ago and even then was captivated by the guitar playing of John Williams whose version of this was the first one I heard on Classic FM.

Those of you who are long term readers of this blog know that I have been a massive fan of classical music for quite some years now. Therefore, to know that hopefully just one episode of this series, just one, might be enough to convince someone else to discover more about this particular music style, is enough for me.

May you be as captivated by this piece of classical guitar work as I was when I first heard it and may your appreciation, like mine, for the genre grow day by day.

Thank you for your faithful support!
