Hello everyone!
Welcome to the latest instalment of my "Off the Scale" classical series where I celebrate all things classical music. From composers, to music that has inspired me over the last ten plus years, I aim to do my part for classical music to ensure that it is never a dying breed.
Today, I'm starting off a series on J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerto and, given that the entire piece is well over an hour long, I'm going to break it apart and celebrate it in its entirety...
Brandenburg Concerto No. 1 in F Major
I first heard this piece on Classic FM and was intrigued, hooked and eventually convinced that this deserves more recognition than it gets, which is the whole reason for this series. This is almost twenty minutes long so let me suggest you get the kettle on and settle in for a while.
I hope that you too can enjoy this one as it's really captivated me.
Peace!
