Hello everyone!
We are closing in upon the 50th edition of "Off the Scale" so I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to that one, that's for sure.
This week, however, we are taking a closer look at an epic piece of music that I cannot believe I have not included in my series so far...
Based upon a melody created by the historic musical figure, Thomas Tallis, this particular piece is one I heard quite a few times on Classic FM before I finally made a connection with it. The strangely hypnotic melody took a while to gel with me, but now that it has, it's one I'm glad to have in my collection.
That happens from time to time with pieces of music, I find, and it just requires patience.
At around 17 minutes long, you definitely need patience for this one!
