Hello everybody and welcome to the first Off the Scale of 2018!
I've been a little busy lately so this has unfortunately slipped back in my list of priorities until now. Please bear with me because I want to try and make this a regular Monday thing for my fellow classical followers.
I've been listening to this one just this morning (Saturday as of writing this), so I hope you all will enjoy it as much as I do...
I happened upon a copy of Aled Jones' album "One Voice" at the end of last year in a charity shop. I cannot tell you how many bargains that I have picked up in this way and this manner, but I can tell you that the soothing sense that this one is delivered on the album is one that I can listen to at any time of the day or night.
I've made it clear that I'm not here to review these pieces, just to say that the impact they have upon me is substantial enough that they can actually force the stress out of me leaving me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
Coming up later this year, I'm going to be posting a series on my favourite classical violinist, André Rieu. But for now, let's just take some time out from our busy, busy (sic!) days to enjoy this one: -
Now whilst I cannot actually get a link to the album version of this one, it still reminds me that there's always a time for chill, no matter how crazy or how hectic life gets, you've just got to be willing to go after it enough.
Next time you feel like giving up because life is running you ragged, try finding something that not only helps you to chill out, but actually forces you to (as long as it is legal, of course!).
Until next time...
