Hello everyone!
Welcome to the finale of my Movie Celebration here on "Off the Scale"!
Throughout the past few weeks, I have been celebrating some of my favourite movie themes and from quite early on I knew I could either spin this series off into one of its own, or come back and revisit it later in the year.
In the end I've opted for the latter, but not before one final celebration; Braveheart and, in particular the piece titled "A Gift of a Thistle" from the soundtrack...
A Gift of a Thistle
Regardless of how controversial certain elements within this film may, or may not, have been, I find that this piece (played in this instance by the London Symphony Orchestra) evokes a certain sentiment that really echoes with the Scottish blood running through my veins: -
That's why I've chosen this piece to go out on, for this celebration, anyway.
