Whoa!
You ever have one of those days where everything just seems to fall in place and it reminds you that this is why you do what you do every day (hopefully 'be awesome' is what you should think of when I talk of 'this'!)?#
How about seven of those days?! How about a whole frickin' SEASON?!
That's what I'm talking about for myself at the moment for not only is my business idea gaining strength now as well as momentum (thank God again for this!), also my whole outlook on life has evolved to a completely new level!
It goes like this...
Ever since I first started reconnecting with Audacious Church in Manchester, I have now found a new meaning, a new zest, a new zeal for living life the way God intended me to in John 10:10!
What drove me towards this revelation was, after a two year gap of not going to church on a regular basis (only the monthly 'Family Friendly' services at the Limeside Methodist Church to help out with the music), was a realisation that I needed to be with fellow believers not just so that I can receive the ministry of our faith in a corporate environment, but so others can be changed through what God is doing through me!
I've already been through what I think of those who hold a differing faith (or none) to mine; I have none, so I need go no further into that one.
What I will say is that the moment that revelation clicked at the Brotherhood Men's Conference earlier this year, that was when I realised that not only did I want to be going back to Audacious, but I needed to, in order to ensure that I was in prime position for the awesome things God is doing in the life of this church!
Take the Life Groups for example, these are what other churches call 'house groups' and are an excellent opportunity for people to meet together at venues all across Manchester in order to discuss the Sunday morning message (I'd rather throw about that word than things like 'preach' or 'sermon' because after all, what the preacher says is supposed to contain words that teach me something!) along with sharing life with others, just as Jesus commanded when He spoke of loving your neighbour as yourself...
What else?
Well, as it's the mid-season break for both MotoGP and F1, I am left with plenty of free time instead of constructing what I'm going to say for the next race, to get back into gaming again, this time opting for GTA IV, whilst eagerly awaiting number 5 in about a month or so.
Now, I know for a damn fact that some of you reading this will be thinking 'wait a minute bro', how can you talk one minute of matters of Christianity and then switch gears to the other end of the spectrum talking about an ultra-violent videogame?!' (don't lie to me, I know you went there before your eyes even got to this point, lol!) and to which I say 'sweetie, real life is violent' (try not to think of Penny when you read that, lol!), for crying out loud even the Bible is violent just in case you hadn't read it properly!
Don't even think of claiming "this is different" because it shares its similarities (sinners getting their comeuppance for the life they lead ie. steal a car in modern day under the nose of a policeman and he will not tolerate it & what happened back in the day to a thief?!), so your argument is flawed to start with! ;)
Anyhoos, enough of that before I really start poking the hornet's nest as I'm so good at doing!
What I'm trying to get across to you is that I had fun doing it, yet at no stage did it, or does it, make me want to go out there and repeat what I've just done... for crying out loud, earlier yesterday I went and blew up an in-game garage with a truck bomb, why in the hell would I want to go and do that for reals?!
What I'm saying that in my earlier quote from the book of John is that in me living life to the full, I see that I can face all of life's challenges knowing that I have the best army that money can't buy to back me up, so should feel inspired to help other people to see that they too can live a full and vibrant life in all that they do... which is why I always say "whatever you do, have fun doing it" essa!
I did, I do and I'm living the dream at the minute, so long may it last, bro'!
Peace out!
The Lanky Penguin
