Let's wrap up now and give you my verdict on the one controversial incident...
So, with places swapped, changed and swapped back again all but at the most important part of the grid; the front, was it really over for Lorenzo or could he find some superb form and team up with another rider (the current plight being insufficient to stop Marquez even if he finishes second in all remaining races!) to stop the rot?
You'd have to be an idiot to bet against Lorenzo, just like you'd have to be one to bet against Marquez so make of that what you will, bro's! :-P
Down comes the chequered flag and Marquez takes yet another win followed, as mentioned, by Lorenzo and Rossi (a bro' whom I'm always happy to see on the podium!), with Crutchlow finishing behind Bautista & Bradl. Maybe next time, bro? :(
Further back down the grid saw Yonny Hernandez bring his new bike home in an impressive 12th position ahead of Randy De Puniet & just behind the CRT rider Aleix Espargaro.
So far this year, Marquez has broken all records, so to hear that there would indeed be further investigations into the incident between him and Pedrosa is hardly a surprise (even if Pedrosa's own comments are a touch surprising!), though he seems hopeful that he will face no penalty at the next round in Sepang.
RIDER OF THE DAY
There can be little said here over who this is going to be so I'm going to get straight to the point: -
Marc Marquez
The Repsol Honda rider has effortlessly replaced Casey Stoner (though it would have been amazing to see him on the grid this year had he not retired, bro's!) so far and it looks like he's bringing the championship back to the Honda garage, just like his pre-decessor did!
As far as the incident with Pedrosa goes, I do think he was a touch overly aggressive in his desire to pass the man, but it was a racing incident in that he has shown this fire consistently throughout this season, has Marquez, so to punish him further would be a mistake in my view.
Have a word with him by all means because he's gone from hero to villain in under six seconds! But penalise him? Come on! :)
That about wraps up this review (even if I did actually watch this one on Monday, but have only now got around to writing the review up for it, such is the business of life of late!) for today, folks, stay tuned as I tweak this blog and make it the best it can be so that my opinions get out there where they really matter; into people's heads! ;)
Ta ta, for now!
