MotoGP:Motegi (Concise) - Who'd Have Thought It'd Come Down To This...

Wow!

That's all I can say after I wrote Jorge Lorenzo off for the 2013 MotoGP World Championship and this goes and happens... he goes and wins again (which is no surprise really when you think about it!)!

After the fiasco of Phillip Island, it remained to be seen whether Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo could push the title fight down to the wire, with Marquez's disqualification proving costly at the last round as he took full advantage, losing out in the end only to... well, no one really as he was a class above, even if Dani Pedrosa did manage to keep pace with him for a while...

The race itself was a reminder of why MotoGP can be at times more exciting than the F1 (though to those suckers who believe booing World Champion Seb Vettel acceptable, I frown down on you!), with the bikes flipping one way and then flopping the other as they tackle the corners.

This one was all about the drags to the end of each straight followed by massive braking zones that caught plenty of riders out, even costing Valentino Rossi a place higher up on the grid like he deserved as his tires seemed unwilling to get up to temperature and stay there forcing him to run wide quite scarily at times!

The boys' season ends at Valencia and this one proves to be another twisty tale as the fight goes right down to the wire, even if the race at Motegi saw Dani Pedrosa's 2013 challenge end with his third placed finish. The way Marquez seems to have brought out the very best in Lorenzo yet leaving his team-mate languishing behind one race, then losing out to him the next proves that next year, with the new regulations and machinery, it promises to be one of the most exciting times yet...

I just hope the BBC have a contingency plan having lost out their coverage to BT Sport who, in fairness, do put effort into making sure it's presented well graphically, having already seen the football, punditry and other such efforts. I would hope to get it at some point, so that I can continue to bring these reviews, but that all requires one thing; moolah!

Until next time, bro's when it's the final part in my series; Valencia!

Peace out!
