So what have I covered so far?
My walk this past couple of years, from the downers to the uppers and now here I am basking in the afterglow of an awesome Brotherhood experience.
Let's see if we cannot finish this in one part, shall we?
Be Strong & Courageous
Joshua 1:1-9 ESV After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' assistant, (2) "Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel. (3) Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given to you, just as I promised to Moses. (4) From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory. (5) No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. (6) Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. (7) Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. (8) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (9) Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
There will always be another battle to fight, another area to conquer and another step for me to take. I then realised that this 'no one' attitude I was developing was for a reason: -
Women don't like a man who cannot take charge in any situation, emergency or otherwise, they need to feel loved, respected and in the hands of someone who can take care of them!
There you go! How can a nugget like that come from a guy like me, someone who's never been kissed, lol?!
Easy! It's knowledge directly from the Man Upstairs!
See? I'm a Sensation and it's starting already!
I swear to you, here and now, I will NOT allow weakness to enter into what God has allowed me to be!
1 Samuel 30:6 ESV And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.
Where does my help come from? Here, this song should help (see what I did there? :P): -
In spite of what David faced, the Amalekites had just overcome Ziklag and burned it with fire. He heard the people talking of stoning him but instead of letting his faith down, he looked up for his help and THAT is where it came from!
Joshua 14:7-8 ESV I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land, and I brought him word again as it was in my heart. (8) But my brothers who went up with me made the heart of the people melt; yet I wholly followed the LORD my God.
The people wanted Joshua to doubt given what the reports were coming back regarding the promised land were, ten said it was bad and two good, but he didn't, he wouldn't!
Nor will I!
So, given all that then, I want to say to you all to not let fear come alive where there is strength to be found. Have a strong conviction in what you believe. Never back down, never give up, never lose faith and never lose your way again, bro's!
Righty, seeing as I've failed to wrap this all up in this posting, I shall go for a record breaking sixth part to my review!
Peace out!
