Brotherhood 2014 Part Six - The Art of Making Pt IV

Wow!

How awesome is this!

The only reason I've broken it down into six segments is that I started to realise that, as I have a lot to say usually, it is better that I chop it down into better sized chunks rather than have you trawl through pages after pages of seemingly endless text!

Don't say I never do anything for you, bro's!

So, having said all that I've said so far, I think that it's safe to say that I am of the opinion that you should not let doubt and fear rule either you or your circumstances. You have to be strong in your convictions, in all that you believe so that you can still be around to see results when then come, which they will if you're walking the right pathway!

For so many people, myself included at one point, they are ruled by opinions governing their convictions. In other words, they let other people tell them what to be convicted about, what to believe, what to get behind.

Me? You know that I'm my own man and nothing and "no-one" will ever get me to change my ways, future partner or not because I am already the complete article without her. Like Ps. Glyn Barrett once said quite recently: -

"whilst it's a nice sentiment, to say that someone "completes you" it's inaccurate because you are already complete in God"

See? I knew I was onto something there!

No matter what you do or where you go, you, like me, are destined to reign, you are bound for glory, only as long as you're living for all the right reasons.

Don't know what they are?

Sit and think about them long and hard and if necessary get someone to sit with you and talk some of the things through that are why you live the way you do. You'll find that in the end, as the song goes, most of it doesn't even matter unless it affects other people.

You hear me talk of how you shouldn't let other people divine you (look up divining rod for a better simile there, bro's!) into being what they want you to be because they aren't, or because they want to control you to stop you from being what they haven't the balls to achieve; a raging success (or a Sensation if you're me, lol!)!

Strength of Resolve

It goes without saying that you have to have some kind of resolve when it comes to facing your haters and giving them what for with the amazing-ness that is your life. You've got to look them in the eyes, stare them down and say "this one's for you sucka!" in order to keep on improving who you are and what you stand for!

I recently watched an episode of the TV series "Castle" and it was the lead characters, Richard Castle, who when asked about money said it: -

"doesn't change people, it just magnifies our character. It zooms in on who we really are"

Now of course he's talking about money, but the principle is the same when you apply pressure to someone, you find out what they're really made of. Take me for instance, I love working under pressure, sure I may crack at times (anyone would for a prolonged period of time), but it's what makes me feel alive because I know that there will be consequences if I don't rise to the occasion!

So let's take this and bring this to the Bible character Job and have a look at what he said: -

Job 1:21 ESV  And he (that is, Job) said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

This came at a time when God said to Satan that he could take away all his possessions and his family, but he could not harm the man himself; what a brave man to be tested way beyond most peoples' limits and yet here Job was determined that he should retain focus!

Too many times, people let events dictate to them their convictions, they let what's going on around them sway them to and fro with regards to what they believe in and I've got another verse for you at this point: -

James 1:5-8 ESV  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.  (6)  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.  (7)  For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;  (8)  he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

"Unstable in all he does" - Wow! That's some pretty insane stuff because it implies that no matter what he does, no matter where he or she goes, they will forever be tossed about back and forth like the waves whatever they face!

I don't know about you, but may that never be said about me, bro's!

Okay, this is getting silly, maybe I should have scripted this and uploaded it on Youtube as a commentary or something, lol!

Part seven coming right up...

Peace out!
