Get Inspired II: Set Your Sights Higher

Well, I could get used to life like this at the moment and I hope you're having as much fun reading these posts as I am writing them, bro's!

I once again, when considering what to write for the second of my themed messages. I know I can be opinionated at times (alright very opinionated, I cannot deny it, can I?!). I hope I have not been insensitive to you all because that is not my intent, never my intent.

I only seek to advise and give insight into an alternative way of thinking and living.

You see, I want the best for you, for all of you as much as I want it for me. Regardless of your beliefs, I just want you to be happy so I hope I've been able to provide welcome comfort in these times where trials and testing circumstances seem everywhere and seem likely to overwhelm.

It is at times like these where you can do like I did and get somewhat melancholic over life and how there were times when you went wrong. I remember times when I thought I was just drifting through life, just as I've covered on here, it was like there was no greater thing to live for than to just get up each and every day and seem to float on through the day with no real incentive to try harder than was absolutely necessary at the time.

Instead, I recognised that I was floundering and decided to live for a higher calling than this existential living.

I recognised the need to live for a higher calling, a higher praise!

Think about something that gets you inspired for a minute, what really gets you worked up? What are you talented at? Your one thing that, above all else, gets your interest by just the mere thought of it?

For me it has to be two things: -
  1. Writing; and
  2. Videogames
I enjoy writing and I enjoy videogaming, the latter of which I'm just working my way through the phenomenal Halo 3 at the minute: -

It's proper boss and easily the best videogame I've acquired of recent times (for the why's I'll conduct a review soon!).

What I'm trying to say through all of this is that you should find for yourself something that makes you feel like you're elevating from the hum-drum existence of the daily grind to an altogether higher plane. You know? The kind of existence that stops you from dwelling in the doldrums of circumstance as stuck as they may appear to be.

FINAL THOUGHT

In closing then, I'll share for you some of today's "I Declare": -
You may have difficulties that look extremely large, obstacles that look impassable, and dreams that appear unobtainable. But know this; when the God of the breakthrough releases a flood of His power nothing can stop it. Your sickness may look big but it's nothing for the God of the breakthrough. It doesn't have a chance when God releases a flood of His healing.

Your opponents may look powerful. They may be bigger, stronger, better equipped and better financed. But they don't have a chance when God opens up the floodgates of His favor. You need to be ready, not for a trickle, not for a stream, not for a river. No, get ready for a flood of God's favor, a tidal wave of God's goodness, a tsunami of His increase.
Says it all really, doesn't it? :)

Peace out
