Off the Scale #11 - The Rose (A Valentine's Special)

Happy Valentine's Week everyone!

This week I'll be posting a series of Valentine's messages upon here to celebrate what love means to me.

As a singleton, it will be interesting looking at the topic of love having not had someone to share the 14th with before but that won't stop me.

This week to celebrate the fact that it is Valentine's Day so get your love hearts and your cotton candy, your fairies and your unicorns lol because it's about to get soppy...

The Rose by Amanda McBroom

At the moment, I cannot honestly say I have pleasant memories of love as we know it, having found out around six months ago that a girl I was interested in was already seeing somebody, but it won't stop me from celebrating the emotion overall.

Let's start by looking at the performance piece of my choice: -

It breaks my heart to listen to this song because the emotion that AndrĂ© puts into his playing and conducting really brings me along for the ride allowing me to experience the music as it was meant to be experienced.

THIS!!!

This is the power of music right here!

This is what Off the Scale is all about; celebrating the power behind classical music which can and often does appeal to a broad spectrum of people.

It's not about trying to set it apart for the snobs, the upper-class or anybody who thinks they're better than other classes of people, nothing like that. Instead it's about people celebrating classical music together.

I'm doing my part right here with this series.

Peace!
