Hey everyone!
Welcome to the next in my series of posts celebrating my liking of classical music.
Today's post is another of my favourites and, though it doesn't make it into my top 3, I am forever grateful for Classic FM for without that particular radio station I would not be aware of such gems as this.
The rise and fall of the score is one of my ultimate chill out pieces and I'll tell you something...
As you know by now, I'm more of a fan of classical music than I am other styles of music and, as I made clear earlier on in this series, this is not a place for me to review them, just say why they are special to me.
First of all, let's take a look at a recording: -
As you can see it's quite a lengthy piece because I've linked it to the "pastoral symphony" (as it's affectionately known) in its entirety, but by no means is it boring.
I find it one of the many, many pieces that don't just encourage me to relax, they actually force me to, which, in a day like this where, as I said last time, it feels like we're going to hell in a basket as a society, is a welcome break from the norm.
I'm going to be responsible for every word that I put upon here at the end so I have to make sure that I'm holding myself accountable... anyway, this is not social commentary!
I have to listen to pieces like this with a mindset that it's good, every now and then, to take it easy and just... stop!
