Merry Christmas everyone!
I hope you are all having a good yuletide so far as I know I am. I'm learning to count every day as a gift and therefore to try and not throw away the time that I have been given since I can either waste my time, or I can invest it.
Today's "Off the Scale" comes in the true meaning of the season as I see it; the birth of Jesus Christ so I've chosen, of the many carols, my all time favourite...
The Bleakness of Midwinter
For many people, this is a time of year that they look forward to the most as they get to spend it with family and friends they might not normally see all year round. Spare a thought, though, for those who have no family to spend it with and if you can, go visit them, say hi, drop them some Christmas cake or a mince pie or two because we all aren't with family this season.
My Christmas plans don't make it on here as this series is purely about the music and the words that sometimes go with it and for me, this carol perfectly sums up both the season, the reason for the season (as always, this is just my opinions folks!), along with what the expected response to all of this is, or should be.
Let's have a listen: -
Who knew the host of BBC's "Pointless" had such a voice as this, huh? ;-)
Final Thought
Whatever you are doing this season, however bad it gets whether you are single, or in a relationship, know that there's Somebody out there who loves you; Jesus!
I'll tell you what, for this season only, I'll say that I love you too, even though I both don't know you and will likely probably never meet you, I love you too!
Peace... and duct-tape!
