Glastonbury, Minecraft & Other Such Stuff...

It's been far too long since I've done one of these postings, where I can get chance to just chew the fat over what I've been up to of late.

For instance, I've finally managed to get some proper time in on Minecraft for my Xbox and I've got a project on the go at the moment that has seen me build a church, a bridge and discover a mountain.

Life, huh?

Take me, for instance, I've spent quite a number of hours (usually 2 and 3 in one go) on Minecraft just letting my imagination run wild as I create first of all my Church of the Stu, then after several days of slaying/getting slayed by Creepers, Zombies or Skeletons, I finally endeavour to discover more of the map than I'd been sticking to in my early days.

Well, I say map but of course you actually have to build the damn map from scratch, which has of course seen me die numerous times and then upon respawning think "now just where was it I died again?" leaving me the impression that procuring Dark Souls would not be a good idea for me.

I hate dying in videogames, just throwing it out there, lol, especially when it comes to you losing all your progress and having to start all over again or from a checkpoint that's waaaay far back!

Though the dying can get petty at times, I soon figured that it'd be best to just rebuild all the tools I'd lost the last playthrough (if I happened to forget where I died, lol!). A strategy I have learned myself is to keep the most important elements in a storage compartment either in my church or in my second home, built into a cliff face and suitably well guarded which means if I p*** off a Creeper or two, I can just run and hide there!

Anyway, before this turns into a review (which would get five stars of course!), I must also admit that I've been watching Glastonbury this evening. I turned it on to see one of my all time favourite bands on; The Kaiser Chiefs.

Quali-tee! :D

Instead of turning it off and going to play one of my other new games (which I'll cover and review in due course just as soon as I can get some solid time together to play them), I decided to stick it out and boy am I glad I did! The Kaisers rock!

The way Ricky led his band was something I aspire to, having rocked out at the performance week for the Academy, because he makes it look so effortless (well, okay not effortless, just really, really entertaining!) that I figured someone like that was a suitable role model to nailing the showmanship side of things I said I needed to work on.

Of course, I cannot wait to see Metallica headline it and I don't give a s*** what you think; they're made for Glasto and if you don't agree, then "I got two words for ya...!" :-P

You're an idiot if you think they won't work as a headliner, just look at who's been there in the past!

That's all I'm gonna say on that before I get too offensive because you all have your opinions don't you, lol! ;)

More to come over the weekend where I'll take a look at some other stuff, but not Arcade Fire as I have no interest in them!

Peace out!
