This is just a quick posting to wish those of you that celebrate it a happy Easter Sunday!
Now, I'm not referring to the bunny wabbit & chocolate easter eggs, I'm talking about the real reason for the season that is the death & resurrection of my Lord & Saviour, Jesus Christ...
Before I start, let me give you an ice-breaker to show I mean you no hard feelings, again, if you don't believe what I do: -
See? Even I can laugh at that one! ;)
By the time this goes live I'll be up and around ready for the so-called "Family Friendly" service at Limeside Methodist Church later on this morning.
I realise that I tread a careful line being a blogger & being a Christian because there are certain things that I am not willing to post links to on here because I am representing my faith.
What Does Jesus' Resurrection Mean For Me?
Easy, bro's, it means that the power used to bring Christ back from the dead has been implanted on the inside of me & every other Christian with the potential for everyone else to benefit from said awesome power if they would only look for it.
You could call it the VIN number that we've all been given but in order to access the power that comes with it, one should accept Christ as Lord & Saviour of their life. I'm not ashamed to say this because it's what I believe and people cannot take that away from me.
Sticks and stones, bro's, stick and stones! :-P
Anyways, I go further than saying it's been implanted into me because it allows me to tackle situations with not only God, but Jesus & the whole of heaven's armies at my back. This gives me the extra confidence to face said situations because as long as I am heading in a direction God wants me to go then I can rest assured that as long as I step out when asked to, He will go on ahead and fight my battles.
Jesus' victory was already won on that cross over 2000 years ago and it is high time I realised that the true nature of the finished work means that we fight the good fight of faith from the finished line and not the starting line as though some kind of effort was required on my part.
NEWSFLASH!!! It's not about what we've done, but what God has done for each and every one of us!
We don't have to accept the gift, that's the amazing part because of His grace, we can shun it if we like, but there are consequences in the end, there always are.
This guy is one of my favourite musicians and the concert this was taken from was certainly one to open eyes if one would only stop and take the time to listen, I mean really listen to the words he was singing.
So, that being said, I think the only thing left for me to say is that I hope you all have a great Easter Sunday & try not to fill up on chocolate, I know I won't! ;)
One final video I'd like to link to at this point is from Dustin Smith and it simply says "He's alive, our King has won": -
I don't need to say any more!
Peace off!
