Don't Get Stuck, Get Moving

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all having another amazing week, even though we're only a day and a half into it.

Today, I want to have a quick look at what happens to you when circumstances leave you feeling like you are going nowhere fast and running in place, almost...

Give Up, Choke Out or Press IN!

It's an easy option to want to give in, isn't it?

When life gets too hard, or too difficult?

Well what if I say that your action determines your outcome?

You can either wallow in self-pity and defeat, or you can sing "by Your Spirit I will rise from the ashes of defeat" and know that even in the ashes of your circumstances, even when all has quite literally just fallen apart around you, God can still help you as He never left you!

I know all too well the feelings that a pity party brings because they don't invite anybody else to come along unless they are bringing more of the same emotions to the gathering.

Over the last three weeks since my new season started, I have been through so much and grown so much that I'm ever so grateful and blessed to have had God by my side through it all. I have bonded to Him like never before, such to the point that it doesn't really matter if people leave me or aren't there for me anymore because He is!

Now, watch this: -
People are busy and they all have busy lives but it should be that some of your greatest moments for growth come when they let you down, when they abandon you. It should be teaching you to go to God as your first thought and not an after-thought!
I remember all the times that I used to do that; only turning to God when things went south. Now? I'm more likely to seek first His Kingdom & His righteousness to watch what "all these things" are that God will be adding unto me as it says in Matthew 6:33.

I'd be silly if I didn't say, at this point, that I would love things to work out when I tell a certain person how I feel about her, I would love it because she's absolutely amazing!!!

The reality though, thanks to Pastor Levi Lusko in a message that I watched this morning, is that my life should be lived through the lens of eternity. Think about it, if you spend your entire life focusing on only the problem that is giving you the most grief today, you will miss the circumstances around it that are changing and moulding into God's plan for your life.

Your focus will be on the object, the obstacle that is in front of you, instead of viewing it in the light of eternity. This makes your problem, with all due respect, pale to complete insignificance as it takes up not more than a blip on the radar of time heading towards eternity.

Final Thought

You see, no matter how difficult my circumstances get, they are but a thin sliver in the context of eternity so the more I can look through my circumstances to the greater glory that I am heading towards (2 Corinthians 3:18) in this life, the better!

There is nowhere that I can go to escape God (Psalm 139:7-14) because everywhere is in His presence so may I be ever focused on Heaven and my calling that is taking me there for the rest of my days: -

I have linked to this video before, but the message resounds just as relevant today: -
"As it is in Heaven, so let it be"
That's what I say over everything, over all my life, everything!

Do you?
