Falling Angel Redux by S.R. Cook

I first posted this little poem on the 11th July 2016 and ever since then, trying to capture something so utterly profound that seems to be beyond words, I really wanted to give it a second burst of exposure.

I trust you are all having a most enjoyable week, I know I am!

I've got a little poem that I wrote last Wednesday and wanted to share it with you all to see what you think (ED - um, they can't actually tell you unless they comment, d'oh!).

Enjoy...

Falling Angel by S.R. Cook

Clouds Descend
Thunderclap & lightning peal,
Heaven split & she's revealed,
Plummet down & blaze a trail,
Hurtle down & split the veil.

Hope Concealed
Fire behind & ashen below,
Soon she hits & soon you'll know,
Soundwaves boom & light refracts,
Ground collides & she'll relax.

Light Expands
Rising up & calling forth,
She sings out & brings by force,
Heartbeat stops & heartbeat skips,
Footstep firm & footstep trips.

Overcome Doubts
Words won't come & words won't go,
So confused & soon I'll know,
What is right & what is wrong,
Words of truth & write a song.

Effervescence Revealed
Got to try & got to wait,
She hit earth & left a state,
Trapped inside & glowing out,
Her energy sings & mine's going out.
