Your Scars are Your Trophies II (Wear Them with Pride)

Hey everyone!

I enjoyed the first part of this post so much, that I thought I would revisit it because it's about time people started realising that they have no shame in displaying their faults and their weaknesses to one another because none of us is perfect in any way, shape or form!

We have been fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) so that means that every single one of our, what we call "weaknesses" are flaws designed specifically to get us to rely on God all the more...

Show Me Your Weakness & I'll Show You Your Strength

When we start relying on God to show Himself strong, guess what?

He will!

Quelle surprise!

Paul realised that when he was talking about the good that he wanted to do was no what he actually ended up doing in Romans chapter seven. He stated that no matter how much he tried, the harder it became to do what was right and the analogy goes that the harder we try in this life, the less chance there is of God coming to work in, for & through us.

God is not daft, He cannot be mocked (Galatians 6:7-8) and we are told that we will reap what we sow. So if we are reaping self-effort then not only can we not produce godly character, but we can often find ourselves getting burnt out as we rely more and more on ourselves and less and less on God!

Surely this should not be so!

God has ultimate control so it would make more sense to relinquish any ideas of control that we have over to Him and let Him work through us. For when we stop striving and allow God to work through us, we will see characteristics and strengths come out of us that we never even knew we possessed, yet God did because He put them there in the first place!

Have a watch of this and see what you think on the issue: -

The line "I want my life to be, only Christ in me" is one I relate to so much right now because, despite what I am going through, I want to rest on and in God and let Him take full control of my life and where I am headed.

You see, I cannot get there on my own and neither can you!

You might think that you can, but that is merely your "self" flexing its independent nature to try to convince you today that you don't need Christ, when you do!

He is your strength when you are weak (2 Corinthians 12:9-11) and your Strong Tower when the battle rages (Proverbs 18:10). In fact there are so many more examples that I could quote right now but I'm going to stop there because you need to meditate on these Scriptures, like, seriously mediate upon them until they become a part of you!

Final Thought

I know I've stepped up my posting frequency lately, but that is just because I am that enthusiastic about my message; that Jesus came and died for each and every one of us knowing that not all of us would choose to worship Him.

You see?

That's why I'll never judge you if you don't like what I write on here; it's your choice.

I will stand my ground, however, because I know on Whose side I fight, but I'll never judge you for your choice not to believe, never!

Consider next time you are tempted to pass a judgement on someone else for what they say or do whether Jesus died for them too because the answer might just surprise you.

He did!

Shock, drop & awe!
