Hey, bro's!
It's that time of year again where we're asked to be thankful for what we have and get, rather than getting all we can, whilst we can...
Welcome to the quirky dimension that is my journey as a Christian and fully devoted (just not perfect!) follower of Christ. Here you'll find out that, as a writer, there's next to nothing I'm not prepared to write about, including my faith. Prepare for a smash-mouth style to collide with colourful topics as I continue to blog into everything that God has called me to be. Do not adjust your monitors, there is nothing wrong with them, you have simply entered... The WRITE Dimension!

2013 - The Best Bits According to T.L.P
Well, this is something I normally do privately, taking a brief look back over the last twelve months and pick out my highlights from the year. I go through movies, videogames, TV programmes and the like in a bid to come up with my combination for the most unbeatable entertainment I've been through.
It's been one helluva ride emotionally this past year, especially finding out my entrepreneurial spirit is not dead, nay, it's alive and kicking fiercely. But that, my bro's is a post for another time on another day, so let's get started...

BSB:Assen - Lowes Up & Down
My goodness!
That was a race reminiscent of the closing stages of the 2012 season with overtakes galore and incidents, some of which shocking, proving that BSB is just as exciting as ever!
Even though the season has pretty much finished now and that this doesn't just come in late, but waaay late, I'm still gonna do my best to cover the talking points from this one, so here goes...

R.I.P. Paul Walker...
It comes with great sadness that I have just learned of the passing of Paul Walker, star of the Fast & Furious films...
You will be sadly missed and it has to be said, without his F&F films, I wouldn't have as intense an interest in motor-racing culture as I do now. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends, particularly his daughter at this time.
You will be missed, bro'! :(

Wow!
That's all I can say after I wrote Jorge Lorenzo off for the 2013 MotoGP World Championship and this goes and happens... he goes and wins again (which is no surprise really when you think about it!)!
After the fiasco of Phillip Island, it remained to be seen whether Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo could push the title fight down to the wire, with Marquez's disqualification proving costly at the last round as he took full advantage, losing out in the end only to... well, no one really as he was a class above, even if Dani Pedrosa did manage to keep pace with him for a while...

MotoGP:Phillip Island (Part One) - The Colour of the Flag Is Black...
Well, this one proved to be a bumper event with action all the way around the circuit and controversies galore as riders were forced to adopt a split race mentality as the harder rear tires were deemed too heat retentive to last the full 19 laps. This meant that a mandatory pit stop would be required where riders had to change bikes for the softer compound but all after around ten laps maximum.
Riders would be disqualified, they would be chastised and others would think it was their lucky day and it's MY job to sort it all out for you and give you my take on it all, so here goes...

MotoGP:Sepang (Part One) - Dani vs. Marc War of Stars
After the events of the last round in Aragon, Spain, it remained to be seen what action would be taken after Marc Marquez was deemed to have taken out his team-mate Dani Pedrosa.
The answer? One penalty point taking his total up to three now, meaning that if he clocks up just one more in the remaining rounds, he will be starting from the back of the grid. His team, however, were penalised around 25 points meaning that going into this race in Malaysia, it closed the lead they had over rivals Yamaha.
This one would not be as straightforward and inevitable as some might think...

This is just a quick update to let you all know that though the Japanese GP and MotoGP:Sepang events take place in a matter of hours, I will be endeavouring to watch them and review them in due course, but they will not be any time within the next two to three days.
I will say, though, that if you are looking for a rapid turnover for reviews of these events then I'm afraid you're tough out of luck atm, because things are just waaay too hectic in my schedule to reliably inform you that I'll be either: -

I will say, though, that if you are looking for a rapid turnover for reviews of these events then I'm afraid you're tough out of luck atm, because things are just waaay too hectic in my schedule to reliably inform you that I'll be either: -
- Watching them live (they over lap as BBC1's coverage starts from 6:00am UK time for the F1 and then 8:25am over on BBC2 for the MotoGP trip to Sepang); or
- Reviewing them within the next 24-48 hours
I've not even celebrated my 100th post and as I stand at currently 115... that's a bit disappointing! :(
It could be more, could be less as I'm trying to get through a massive backlog of sporting action from the FIA GT Series, the British GT Championship, the latest couple of rounds of SBK along with some others I may have forgotten about.
I realise that I'm behind on my BSB reviews as well and as I write this I am fully aware that the Silverstone event of the Showdown has already taken place recently. If you wanna know what happened, you know where to go... but you won't get it in my inimitable style, that's for true!
I only ask for patience as I balance my time between church later on today, The Idea (of which I am mostly pleased about!) and a ton of other stuff I'm sorting through at the moment.
Thank you,

Just as in the last MotoGP review, I will be omitting the consistent links to driver and teams because, again, anyone who's anyone knows who each driver represents! TLP
As the season edges ever onwards, once more I aim to take a look at each race in the detail that I've become known for now, so let's see how things unfolded at the Korea International circuit.
For this one, it was all about whether the race would take place as a tropical storm had been blighting the nearby area in the build up to the race. Luckily, it passed by meaning the race could go ahead as scheduled.

As advised recently, the first of the changes are being put into place starting with all non-essential links beingg removed from these reviews. We all should know who represents who now! Ta. TLP.
Well, that has certainly put the cat amongst the pigeons!
With discussions over who was to blame for the disaster that hit Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa at this race, it is likely that the ramifications and repercussions will be felt long into the future.
Why?!
Simples; it all boils down to the fact that so far, Pedrosa is the only man never to win a championship yet show form that suggests he could and maybe rightly should do so!
Onto Qualifying...

R.I.P. Tom Clancy - Death of A (insert own superlative here ta!)... :( :( :(
Hello,
Today it was announced that the writer of spy novels and co-creator of Splinter Cell videogames, Tom Clancy, has died at the age of 66.
It comes with sadness that earlier today, and this is the first chance I've had to show my appreciation for the man without whom I would not be interested in spies (apart from Ian Fleming of course!), and all things stealthy.
May he rest in peace and my respects and condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time...
Peace out!

GTA V: Grand Theft Awesome-ness - The Prologue
Whassup bro's!
As I sit here listening to this excellent song, you should already know that Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series continued on midnight Tuesday just gone! :D :D :D
Boy was I anticipating this title as it's been five years since the last one starring Nico Bellic (watch this video, it's freakin' hilarious and is what I imagine Nico did when he found out he was being usurped!), and having subscribed to this excellent channel on Youtube I was kept well, well abreast of all info related to the latest, the fifth, title.
From the perspective switching, to finding out that you'd be able to trade stocks and shares as well as take on some of Los Santos' finest gangs was awesome (the latter of which I was really hoping they would renege on as the original rumour held fast that there would be no gangs in it!), this was certainly tipped to take my title of the year award.
Later on in Q4 (that's quarter 4 of this year, not another motor racing analogy ta, bro's!), I'll be unveiling my highlights of the year including best movie I've seen at the cinema and best videogame I've bought. If GTA V is successful (which it's odds on to do so, btw!) then it will wrest the title from the current holder; Bulletstorm (originally released 2011, I bought that earlier this year).
Also, at some point I'm going to be making my long awaited return to Facebook (I'm not linking to that just yet, not until I'm online with it!) after my, um, sabbatical let's say so be sure to keep tabs on this blog to find out when and where to find me (no, wait... I'm not talking about legalised stalking, lol!)!
That's all for now, bro's, but be sure to keep checking back here for more news on developments as my brand grows as I'll be looking to do a full on review of this title at some point, bro's!
Keep safe!

As for the whole Youtube thingy, keep an eye on my channel as things may change in the not-too-distant future!
Don't worry, folks, I couldn't care less either way that it had not a single vote... just know this; the blog's in my more-than-capable hands, so I'll be dictating the future of it now! :P
You know my sense of humour now, or if you don't, then you clearly haven't read enough of my posts to get it! XD
So all I'll say is, with Singapore approaching this weekend, it's gonna be AWESOME!!!
Peace out!

MotoGP: Misano Part Une - A Weekend Of Two Halves
Well,
Once again it seems the record break kid, Marc Marquez has done it and made it into first position for the MotoGP in Misano, San Marino.
I'm gonna cut to the chase (for the first time!) and just run down the top six, with any interesting outsiders for this one, so let's see what happened...

Galahad Strikes Again!
Now that was an entertaining fight!
I could say "ha, that was totally expected", but then I'd hardly be doing Kid Galahad's opponent James 'Jazza' Dickens any credit, for credit the guy deserves for putting up a brave showing. Fighting for the Super Bantamweight Title and lasting ten rounds more than capably against a guy who Tyson Fury said tonight was 'like me, a shooting star' means I still expect big things from this guy!
This is not the first fight I've seen from Galahad, real name Abdul Barry Awad and it won't be the last at this rate as he looked sublime tonight. Not taking anything away from Dickens though as he pushed and went further than most of his fights have gone so far, he'll bounce back that's for sure!
That was all for now, folks, so next up it's the Misano MotoGP in San Marino tomorrow!
Until then...
Peace out!

BSB:Donington Park Part Two - Countdown to Showdown!
Righty folks, let's pick up the action where we left off...
BSB:Donington Park Part One - Countdown To Showdown!
So, it really is last chance saloon now, peeps, for the riders of the British Superbike Championship to book their places in the Showdown in a fortnight's time in Assen at the legendary TT circuit.
For now though, it was off to Donington Park and the final two races to do just that; get the points needed to secure a top six position. The favourites so far have to be considered as one of either the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki of Shane 'Shakey' Byrne, the Samsung Honda of Alex Lowes or the Tyco Suzuki of Josh Brookes.
Other contenders looking to confirm their spot, the aforementioned three already having done that prior to this event, are James Ellison, Ryuichi Kiyonari & then one from either Jon Kirkham, James Westmoreland (Westie as I'll be calling him, like so many others do, in this review!) or Tommy Bridewell who languishes 25 points back from making the cut.
Kirkham it is who currently holds that illustrious sixth spot in the Showdown ahead of his team-mate, Westmoreland and the pair of them seemed positive in the 'Grill the Grid' section of ITV4's broadcast that no matter who out of the two of them finished there, the rest of the team would still provide the support... now that is teamwork, bro's!
Onto qualifying...

A Brief, If Classical Note...
Wow, just wow!
For those of you who've been watching on BBC4, seeing the BBC Concert Orchestra perform music from the movies has been a truly sublime way to spend two hours of my Friday evening!
Hearing scores such as the original one that was supposed to be used for Battle of Britain by Sir William Walton Walton, as well as David Arnold's Independence Day & John Williams' Star Wars medleys has been truly inspirational. It's also good to see that we're getting more from the both of them in terms of films too!
The way the orchestra's performances were seamlessly given was a true testament to the way they take their craft seriously, not like some of the other so-called 'acts' or 'artists' nowadays!
I could ramble on about this, but I won't for tonight it's Bellator & some serious kick-a$$ fighting at 10pm UK time on Viva so rock on, bro's! :D
Peace out!

Being Mr. Nice Guy... Is It That Simple?
First of all, let me offer you an apology for the delay in resolving this post from back on 23rd August (for I said this was coming next and it's nearly a month late!)! :(
I've had an awful lot on mind of late what with 'The Idea' & all my reviews I've been getting done for this here blog of mine, I just haven't even had time to approach this subject like I wanted to.
It's all explainable anyways, so I'm going to do my best to sort the wheat from the chaff (as usual) in offering you some insight into what's got me where I am today as far as being 'Mr Nice Guy' goes...

Mesut Özil & Other Stuff...
Bro's,
You may all have noticed that posts have been a little sporadic of late (okay, very sporadic!), but I assure you I'm almost ready to see things return to normal whatever that is, these days!
Things have been immensely busy for me with 'The Idea', as you won't believe, but I'm almost out the other side... oy vey! ;)
I just thought I'd put up a quick post to say how glad I am that Mesut Özil chose to join the club that he did, Arsenal Football Club.
Why? It's simple really, he could have joined a rival club, whose name will never make it onto this blog of mine, but he chose right, he did the sensible thing (though leaving Madrid cannot have been easy, that's for sure!) and now let's see what happens because of it!
I'm not saying all of our problems are solved, because they're not, we need a defender or two & a defensive minded midfielder as well, but the signing of Özil bodes well for the future as we seek to prove that though we've not won anything for 8 years now, lol, we can still attract big name signings in our bid to change that!
I plan on watching the latest race in the MotoGP calendar; the British Grand Prix, on Saturday so will endeavour to bring you my review as close to that as possible, so either Saturday or Sunday it can be expected on here.
Peace out!

Whassup, bro's!
This one comes having finally seen the Belgium race on BBC1 on Saturday, yet this was the first chance I've had since the hectic lifestyle I'm now given because of 'The Idea' (don't worry, I won't infect this post with more on that, lol!) and as there's a lull in the storm albeit temporarily, let's take a look at what went on over in Belgium...

Looks like the worst kept secret in F1 history is finally resolved as Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull Racing's sister/feeder team, Toro Rosso, has finally been confirmed as Sebastien Vettel's partner for the 2014 season... about frickin' time, bro's, the guy's class!
I'll be back a.s.a.p. with my delayed review of the Belgian GP from Spa Francorchamps, folks, so please be patient! ;)

Changes to the Format
Whassup bro's!
This is just a quickie post to let you all know about some changes that are coming to this 'ere blog of mine!
Seeing as I've been writing it now since February and have already clocked over 1300+ views, I'm stoked enough to continue reinventing it to ensure it's the best quality it can be so that I can bring you life like only I can!
It's mainly going to affect the motor-racing reviews I bring you and it's all in a bid to ensure that the content is both relevant and looks damn good too. So stick around, bro's, because it's about to get interesting and I plan to make some changes that are really hopefully gonna set me apart in terms of the bog-standard bloggers, with the cream of the crop!
Feel free to leave a comment if you like what you see, bro's and I'll see what I can do to keep it fresh and lively each time I'm on here! ;)

BSB:Cadwell Park - Titan-ed Up At The Top
Well, this was certainly a race to behold that had twists and turns aplenty for the Showdown, what a clash of the titans this is proving to be!
With the trio of Shane 'Shakey' Byrne, Alex Lowes & Josh Brookes all battling for podium credits to maximise their impact come Showdown time, the race at Cadwell Park would be one that was anyone's guess on who'd come away with maximum points and therefore maximum credits...

Well, this certainly is a sad, sad day for us writers!

If you thought qualifying would indicate a rider's fortunes come race day on the Sunday you'd be wrong... dead wrong!

St. Anne's Take Stu - A Day Never To Forget
Phew!
I'm finally back to mine after an energetic and at times quite frantic day out to St. Anne's in Fylde!
Now, to those of you who read my previous post on my visit to the very same place may think 'why the same place, bro'?' - to which I'll tell you what I always tell you... BECAUSE I CAN!!!
Journeying like this to a place as pleasant and peaceful (that wasn't the case today as I'll get onto in due course) is always a welcome change from the humdrum that is life at times as it allows me to just switch off from the things I'm responsible for, for one day and just enjoy myself...

Pooping Out Rainbows
Whassup readers!
A slight change of pace for this one, because it comes at a time where things are really, really starting to look up for me.
First of all, it comes as no surprise that I'm still stoked by 'The Idea' as I've come to term it.
Second of all, you ever get that feeling where everything you touch turns to gold, or that others think you poop out rainbows because you're such a goodie-goodie to them?
You know the feeling, one minute things were looking down and out and instead, now, they are really beginning to click into place for you. Well this is how I feel at the minute & now comes the part where I've got to justify that (well, I don't have to but this blog is my vent) so I will...!

Ho-lee freakin' smokes!
I was not expecting to have another action packed race as this one to watch, what with the BSB outing at Oulton Park being a firecracker and action-packed to the max!
Was it really too much to be surprised that this one, the first after MotoGP's mid-season break, would be the same...?

St. Anne's: Synergy of a Chaotic Life
Whassup bro's!
This entry comes off the back of a day trip to Blackpool to see my sister and her son (my nephew, of course!) on their holidays, before we went on to St. Anne's for the afternoon.
You know it comes as no surprise that it was a fantastic day even though I knew we'd be leaving them behind (because they're staying 'til Saturday before you get any thoughts, HA!) which caused disappointment to rise up within...

The Life Chaotic
Whoa!
You ever have one of those days where everything just seems to fall in place and it reminds you that this is why you do what you do every day (hopefully 'be awesome' is what you should think of when I talk of 'this'!)?#
How about seven of those days?! How about a whole frickin' SEASON?!
That's what I'm talking about for myself at the moment for not only is my business idea gaining strength now as well as momentum (thank God again for this!), also my whole outlook on life has evolved to a completely new level!

Chaos Theory: The Preliminary...
Whassup folks!
Nope, the title's not what you're probably thinking, it's just a mere statement of fact at the moment that with the sheer business of life in general the joix de vivre that I'm infused with each and every day is now starting to rub off on other people.
I'm gonna reveal more in due course, but that is why there's been no updates of late (well, that and the fact that there are no motorsport events to speak of for another week or two when it's the next round of the BSB), so stay patient folks and I'll update you as and when I can.
It won't be tomorrow (see today as it's already Sunday UK time as I write this!) as I'm gonna be out pretty much all day, at the Limeside Methodist Church playing the music for our "Family Friendly" service. After that it's lunch & dinner at my parents and then I'll be staying over at my parents for the rest of the day until going to Audacious in the evening.
It will not be too long after that, either Monday or Tuesday at the latest, I'll make sure I get on here and get down what's been going down in the life of awesomeness that is... ME!!! :P
Keep it real, bro's & I'll rejoin y'all shortly!

F1:Hungary - A Day For Lewis
Four times... four times now has Lewis Hamilton won here at the Hungaroring!
This race was incredible and with the sheer twists and turns as the pit-stop strategies played out, it proved that it would be one to remember for Lewis and the Mercedes team.
Last night, he gave himself not a great deal of a chance to bring home the win despite qualifying in pole position, yet here he stands, on the top step winning by a comfortable margin
Elsewhere on the grid, Mark Webber was left to rue the performance of his team in qualifying resulted in a change of gearbox and a busted K.E.R.S. system (again!) leaving him languishing in 10th position and unable to set a time in Q3.
Let's see how things unfolded...

BSB:Brands Hatch GP - Brookes & Shakey, Some Kind of Magic...
Well, what more can I say except a mixed bag of fortunes that was!
Crashes once more there were, along with moments to remember as Josh Brookes finally nailed down his first win this year...

MotoGP:Laguna Seca - On Your Marc, Get Set...
Fantastic stuff!
Though coverage of this race was only 60 minutes long on BBC2, rather than the usual 1h30m plus 30m of MotoGP:Forum action, this by no means was a dull and uneventful race...

A Royal Baby Announcement!! :) :) :)
Well,
No doubt you've all heard about it already folks, it seems that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are now proud parents to a baby boy weighing in at 8lb 6oz's as of 16:24 today!
Whatever your stance on the English Royal family, let's put all hostilities aside for a moment and wish them the very best of health for mother and baby as the line extends once more for our monarchy!
Respect to ya!

Life - The SMaRT Strategy...
Whassup my dudes!
What a fantastic week I've had! :D
If I'm honest I could totally see some of this stuff coming because looking back there were signs that my fortunes were changing from the less-than-stellar meeting with a woman I'd met on the internet.
But spit happens, I moved on, didn't let it hold me back and have revolutionised the way I am living my life at the moment. Even though this is the early hours of Saturday morning UK time, I'm still up writing this entry, mainly to get down life and how it's going for me at the moment.
Having my meeting with Daryl, my business advisor, I am evermore confident that this is the direction that I am to be heading in now from here on out, so this should be good!
What else, what else? Oh yeah...

And We Have A Weiner! - My Business Ideology
Well, this is a remarkable slice of good fortune!
Having just finished my research into what fellow competitors are doing for my business idea that you've no doubt heard me mention on a couple of occasions recently, I was pleasantly surprised, no, rockin' to find that the competitors are few because what I am trying to do, no one else has tried before me (well, not in the way I want to do it anyways, bro's!)...

MotoGP:Sachsenring - With the Cats Away...
Well, another crash-fest that one was as people dropped their bikes left, right and centre, all in a bid to seemingly outdo one another!
First you had, of note, Jorge Lorenzo who upon managing to high-side his bike, bent the plate that had been screwed into his shoulder to help with the healing of his collarbone. Now if that plate's made of titanium like they're supposed to be, that's some force, isn't it?!
Then there was the second casualty of the weekend, for with the reigning World Champion at bay, it should have been advantage Dani Pedrosa...

Belief - It All Starts At Home
Whassup bro's!
Well, this has certainly been an entertaining six months so far this year, hasn't it? Who'd have thought I'd still be here, writing reviews, or just in general churning out my opinions on all sorts of subjects?!
I can't even say 'not me' anymore, because I totally knew I was onto something when I started this blog. I didn't want it to set me apart at first as something that it's not. I wanted it to be about giving me the chance to make my own voice heard about the subjects that matter to me. As you've guessed by now the chief interest of mine is motor racing of all kinds, from BSB, to MotoGP, to F1... whatever it is, I'm interested however many wheels it runs on!
Whether I'll follow my team in the world of football this year is another matter entirely, because though they did have a £30m bid for Luis Suarez turned down by his club, they do need to spend to get back amongst the big-time or else risk being also-ran's and not-quite's.
I digress...

F1:Germany - Vettel Finally Cracks It!

This review comes a couple of days late given that I listened to this one on 5live on Tuesday having been slow in watching the F1 Forum from the British GP last weekend.
It doesn't matter, because that won't stop me from doing my utmost to bring you as high a quality review as I always do...

Evolving All The Time Now...
Easy now!
Well, y'all know what I thought of Man Of Steel at the weekend so I don't need to repeat myself. What I will say that is at the moment I'm just waiting for, on a completely unrelated topic, the latest episode of The Walking Dead to make it to Freeview any minute now, literally...

Man of Steel - Out of this World!
WARNING: The following presentation contains plot spoilers, so don't read if you don't want your precious plot ruined!
Well,
What can I say about this hotly anticipated reboot of the Superman franchise that hasn't alread been said?
How about I start at the beginning...?
I went to see this film at the AMC Cinema in Manchester, knowing their viewing experience to always, always be pleasurable compared to the sell out that is now the Odeon (or some other such in the Printworks!), but I'm leaving aside my preference for now...

Here's a quickie update on the whole personage front...
This weekend I'm off to see the new Superman film; Man of Steel, so in due course afterwards I shall write up my review for this highly anticipated Zack Snyder affair, because I have high hopes for this one, brah! ;)
Other than that, I suppose you are all wondering how I'm doing after another failed attempt at finding love online...

F1:Great Britain - A Blowout or Two...
My goodness, I've not seen blowouts like that since I went on a bender several years ago with some of the boys from IBM!
To say that it's like this whole Tyre fiasco is rearing its ugly head again is an understatement, even if Pirelli are saying that it's the way the teams themselves are using the tyres that's to blame for the constant failures.
Yet they have since announced that they will be making changes to them for this weekend's German GP... make up your mind, bro's, you can't have it both ways!
Before I tackle that though, it's onto qualifying...

An Unfortunate Series of Events - Another Knockback :(
Well, this entry comes on a somewhat sombre note!
I was supposed to bring you a review of the next F1 race in Great Britain, but too much has gone on this past couple of days for me to just get around to watching it, let alone consider reviewing it!
You bro's remember how I said that I was meeting up with an amazing sounding lady at weekend? Well it appears that things are destined to go no further than they have...

MotoGP:Assen - A Vale Good Show!
Whassup bro's!
Well, that certainly was a crash-free race, wasn't it? Not like the previous race last time out at Catalunya!
Though I'm going to appear to contradict myself now because the first thing that I want to talk about is... a crash!
This one took place in free practice and at well in excess of 100mph, you would have thought that for a man to be tossed like a ragdoll head over heels from his machine would certainly have him thinking twice about racing two days later...

Glastonbury:2013 - Synopsis of Superb!
Whassup bro's!
I'm just watching Glastonbury at the moment, preferring Nile Rodgers & Chic over Arctic Monkeys any day and I must say I'm impressed with the coverage so far & the quality of acts. I may just do a proper review over the course of this weekend, but I've got a meeting tmw with a new and rather amazing sounding lady who deserves to remain nameless yet for the protection of identity (and to save embarrassment, lol! :P) so we'll see!
Earlier, I will say, I watched Seasick Steve & all I can say is having not bought his latest EP yet, "Hubcap Music", I was hardly surprised when I saw and heard the quality from that record, even if the sound guys need more training on how to combat feedback, lol!
More to follow...
Peace out!

In due course I'll reveal more details as I open my life up on these pages to bring you all along for the ride...

R.I.P. Mick Aston
Well it is indeed a sad day today as one of the most energetic of personalities sadly passed away; Mick Aston of Time Team fame.
My condolences go to the family and friends of one Mick Aston and, as an avid watcher of Time Team from its early days to right before Channel 4 altered the formula (I won't put here what I think as this is not the time!), it's heavily saddening news for all fans of the archaeological programme.
I don't need to go into too much detail about this one as fans of the programme know what a loveable guy he seemed to be who was genuinely interested in his work and that always, ALWAYS came across to the cameras.
He seemed like a really genuine and down to earth guy and without the likes of him and Tony Robinson, I do not think my interests in history would have been shaped and boosted as drastically as they were by this programme!
They truly were one of a kind!
Mick, you will be sadly missed. :(

Remote-Controlled Feelings...
I'd start of this post today by asking if you've ever had one of those days... but then it would detract from the meaning of this, my latest post on such a day where it's not so much a rant as a self-affirmation that I'm seeking to express.
Coming at a time where I'd quite honestly lost all hope in the goodness of humanity (but then that was only because I'd been sh@t on as far as the no-go with the 'lady-friend' of mine I've spoken of!) and wondered when things would ever change.
Until I got to a point where I thought 'surely it doesn't have to be like this, bro!'...

BSB: Knockhill - Kiyo's Back!
What a fantastic couple of races that was!
After anxiously awaiting the return of the British Superbike Championship (honestly, I cannot tell you how many times I checked the website to see when the guys were due to arrive at Knockhill, lol!), I was left wondering how many more twists and turns there may be as things progress ever onwards towards the Showdown.
It turned out that these races were what the word 'eventful' was made for, because there were people dropping bikes galore in this race (much reminiscent as it was of the MotoGP trip to the Catalunya circuit last weekend!). It also saw the return of Dan Linfoot, who you'll remember crashed out in quite spectacular style earlier this season.
Whilst it was a day to forget for some, for others it would definitely be a day to remember...

MotoGP:Catalunya - The Reign In Spain...
Well, I must say that this was one of the best races I have seen this season!
Once again, qualifying saw Cal Crutchlow end up on pole position, clocking in at 1'41.501 only to be mugged as this time Dani Pedrosa put in a simply electrifying time of 1'40.893 to go ahead of him and Jorge Lorenzo who managed to pip then third placed man, Alvaro Bautista, by 0.148 of a second.
The race itself didn't just do qualifying justice, it outshone it in terms of the action as once again riders were going off left, right and centre...

F1:Canada - Pedal to the Vettel
So we finally have a triple winner this season then!
With Sebastien Vettel, one never knows what to expect when he gets behind the wheel of the car as one minute circumstances are for him allowing him to pull away and comfortably dominate a race and the next, the others are much closer, even surpassing him in places during qualifying.
This time, it was one of those former moments as he was able to lead comfortably almost from lights to flag (with only two brief respites as Nico Hulkenberg and Lewis Hamilton led during the pit stop phases)...

Let me say this from the off, those of you regular readers know that I've been looking for work for some time now and the latest update on that front, after countless non-entity agencies not even bothering to say that I've not been selected, I was put forward earlier this week for a position in Huddersfield, so we'll see what happens there...

Well I think I can safely say that this was one of the most entertaining races so far this season!

Still Chugging Away...
Hey bro's!
First of all I'm well aware that things have been a little slack on here for a few days now, and that I haven't posted anything since the MotoGP last weekend.
Basically, I've got some stuff going on in my life at the moment that's pulling me away from writing on this blog as regularly as I have been.
Keep checking back over this next week as I will endeavour to resume normal service folks, I assure you!
Peace out!
